On Saturday April 6 2024, the Laguna Woods Lawn Bowling Club hosted a mixed pairs tournament for the Southwest Division of Bowls USA. Sixty players competed, 21 of which were club members. 

First place of the A1 Green and overall winners of the tournament were Candy DeFazio and Robert Busciglio. Village residents rose to the top of the B Green group; the team of Steve Duckworth and Joan Narmontas won first place, and the team of Doug Bowbeer and Cindy Pham took second place.
