US Open at LWLBC Oct 8 through 14, 2023

The US Open is Bowls USA's premier lawn bowling tournament drawing top-level players from across the US and around the world. From October 8 through October 14, 2023, five southern California Lawn Bowling Clubs co-hosted the US Open. Laguna Woods (LWLBC) was one of the five clubs. The other clubs were Laguna Beach, Long Beach, Newport Harbor, and The Groves.  We were selected to hold all final matches for the Open. This includes the Men’s Singles, Pairs, and Fours and the Women’s Singles, Pairs, and Fours. We also hosted several qualifying matches as listed below. This was a wonderful opportunity to witness great bowling matches right here on our home greens.

• Sunday, Oct. 8 – Greens 1 & 2 Men’s Singles Qualifying

• Monday, Oct. 9 – Green 1 Women’s Fours Finals,Green 2 Men’s Singles Qualifying 

• Tuesday, Oct. 10 – Greens 1 & 2 Men’s Singles Finals

• Wednesday Oct.11 – Greens 1 & 2 Women’s Pairs Finals

• Thursday Oct. 12 – Greens 1 & 2 Men’s Pairs Finals

• Friday Oct. 13 – Green 1 Women’s Singles Qualifying

• Saturday Oct. 14 – Green 1 Men’s Fours Final & Women’s Singles Final, Green 2 Women’s Singles Final
